Emstone Music Publishing is planning to possibly release
a 2008 Christmas compilation album consisting of 12 to 15
compositions we consider to be the best new, previously
unreleased Christmas songs. Songwriters wishing to
submit to this project should realize two things.

First, the only songs that will be considered are Christmas
songs that have never been commercially released.
Secondly, and most important, there are no guarantees.
No promise is being made.

Our goal is to get such an album pressed and distributed
(hopefully widely) so that all writers connected with the
release will be able to benefit from songwriter royalties that
will have been earned in 2008 and beyond. Again, be
aware that we are not guaranteeing widespread
distribution, or even that this project will be completed.
However, if you are still interested in submitting material,
read on.

Here are the rules:

  • This is not a contest, but you must submit to this project
    no later than August 29, 2008
  • Songs will be chosen on a first-come, first-served basis,
    which means it could be that we will have all songs
    selected prior to the submission deadline date
  • Only Christmas material will be auditioned
  • Submission must be on CD only
  • Write CHRISTMAS on the outside of your envelope
  • One song per submission (those with more than one
    song will not be auditioned and will be disposed of)
  • If necessary, send a lyric sheet with your submission
  • If your song is one of those we select, the recording we
    get from you - that is, the exact demo you send - would
    be the recording we would use on the album
  • The title of your song as it would appear on any album,
    and the complete legal name of the song's writer(s) and
    demo singer(s) must appear on the CD you submit
  • If your song is chosen, we will need release forms to be
    signed by all the singers on your demo
  • The songs that will be chosen for the album will be at
    the sole discretion of Emstone Music Publishing

No e-mails, phone calls or postal mail pertaining to
submissions will be answered. Selected writers will be
notified by their receipt of an Emstone Music Publishing
contract with request for signature.

consideration and you understand and are able to comply
with all the rules stated above, please send your material

E-mail attachments (mp3's, etc.) will not be auditioned.
